This week, I listened to a group presentation by my classmates. Amara, Aaron and laraye gave a presentation on a movie call "Pulp fiction". According to the presentation, the movie was not entirely a food film. The movie had a lot of comedy and gangster related. also the group point out that the movie portray woman as seductive and "Crazy". An example of food shown in the movie was when the "Gang" drank coffee in the morning before getting on with their day. The group did amazing. At the end of their presentation, the group did a kahoot. the kahoot was fun, unfortunately Could not participate. The time was to fast and did not allow me to go back and forth between tabs. I look forward to more presentations.

Jean Mehul Week 5 Real food and world cinema Weer 5 During class, Dr. Amy McNichols talked about the the role of food. As depicted in the film Como agua para chocolate, food shapes personal and national identities. in the film, tita was a cook who undergoes a lot of difficulties. Tita's cooking brought people together and her identy was shape through her cooking. On the other hand, Dr. McNichols talked about the history of how Mexicans was caught off from the rest of the U.S.

How are love and romance represented in the film? What is the role of food in the film and how does that relate to family, love, and romance? Blog is due by Sunday, Feb. 16. In Mostly Martha, We see examples of how food relates to love, romance and family . In the movie, cooking brought Martha and Mario together. Martha is a chef who has difficulties in sharing the kitchen with other chef. Martha learn to share her space with Mario , another chef. Mario cooked for Martha and had dinner with her and Lana . Martha, Mario and Lana ate together as a family, they were happy. They enjoy the food and allow it to bring them together as a family . Also, Mario made Martha fell in love with his cooking and with him. Mario cooked a special food and share it with Martha. The two then became a couple. Martha an Mario got marry later on in that movie.

Sunday, February 2,2020 I chose Real food and world cinema for the spring semester of 2020. I chose this class because i would like to know more about movies or short videos, I love movies, and I upload videos on you tube. By taking this course, I am hoping to learn more about films, how food is used in film, and to watch a lot of great movies. Last week, in class we watched "The Hundred Foot Journey" a fantastic movie that I really enjoyed. I am hoping to watch more movies like The hundred foot journey. My favorite is step brothers. Step brothers is a film about two grown men who refuses two grow up and take responsibilities, they are childlike.
